Deep, rich, and brewed with love — South Indian Filter Coffee is more than just a beverage; it’s an emotion that stirs the soul. Made using a traditional metal filter, this aromatic blend of finely ground coffee and chicory creates a bold decoction, later mixed with hot milk and a touch of sugar.
Served frothy in a steel tumbler and dabarah, this coffee is a daily ritual in many Indian homes — comforting, energizing, and full of nostalgia. Whether you're starting your morning or pausing mid-day, a cup of filter coffee connects you to the essence of South India — warm, soulful, and timeless.
Directions to Make Filter Coffee:
- Add 2–3 tablespoons of Dakshin Delight filter coffee powder to the upper compartment of a traditional coffee filter.
- Pour about 3/4 cup of boiling water over the coffee powder. Close the lid and let the decoction drip slowly into the lower compartment.
- While the decoction brews, bring 3/4 cup of milk to a gentle boil.
- In a cup, mix 1/4 cup of decoction with hot milk (adjust strength to taste). Add sugar as desired and stir well.
- Pour the coffee back and forth between a tumbler and dabarah for that perfect froth. Serve hot and enjoy the rich aroma and flavor!
